Rev limit question

Rev limit question

Hey ppl, I over revved my gt while trying to paddle shift, cause of late shifting,and felt the engine cut off very briefly, have I damaged it?

It sounds like you bounced off the rev limiter. It is there to prevent you from over revving and damaging the engine, but I wouldn't make a habit of hitting it.

so the rev limiter is in place to cut the engine off before you actually over rev? Thanks

you hit the limiter. You haven't damaged a thing. dont worry, it'll happen multiple times to you over the years. It wont do a thing. Its a hard fuel cut off so it feels very sudden. Dont worry.
