REAR DIFFERENTIAL AND AXLE CHANGE

Installed a Ford performance loaded differential with 3.55 gears and a cast iron case to replace the aluminum cased differential and stock 3.15 gears. Also replaced the stock rear drive axles with the GT350 axles from Ford performance. Then using a hand held tuner recalibrated the speedometer for the new 3.55 gears. 2018 Mustang GT 10R80.

Dayum pretty cool. So for some one like me who has slight knowledge about the rear gear ratio, is the 3.55 better?

The 3.55 gears will give my car better acceleration. Plus it is a change I wanted to do.

@2018GT did you change the gears yourself? Or a shop do it? If you don't mind, about how much was cost? I am considering swapping to 3.73 but not sure yet..thanks

Beware of the rev limiter because it will come quick.
