~~Rubbing Questions~~
This has probably been asked before but id like to know for my setup if something is wrong. I run 20x10 inch rovos durban rims and i have 255/35/20 in the front and 305/35/20 in the rear. I have no suspension work (lowering springs or upgraded shocks etc.) all i have is an irs subframe brace and theres like a half inch to an inch gap in the rear (which I love) but on some bumps it very slightly rubs. Does anyone else have this problem. I've been wanting to get lowering springs but scared of clearance. Can someone help me with this?
my SWAG: it sounds like your wheels do not have enough offset so the tires are sticking out too far and that's why they are hitting the fenders
another contributing factor is probably that 305 is a bit too wide for 10" wheels; tires that were more properly matched to the wheel width probably would clear

I have the same problem but with different size wheels. And yes offset has a lot to do with it, but since you already have the wheels. If it is rubbing at stock height you couldn't lower or the rubbing would be worse. But, at stock you can add a spacer in the rear, like 1/8 inch steeda spring spacer that will raise the rear by 0.25 inch. Just double the size of the spacer for the amount of height it would raise. You want to do lowering springs but i don't think you can do that or it will rub more. In my example, I added 17 inch rears with 305/45/17. I did lowering springs which lowered the front by 1.2 inches and the rear by 0.50 inches. But when i added the 305 on the 17s in the rear there was rubbing. So I added the 1/8 inch steed space which raised the rear by 0.25 inches, so it is lowered only 0.25 in the rear not 0.50. There is still slight rubbing but not as bad. I can also move up the spacer to 1/4 and raise the rear by 0.50 inches would put me back to stock height BUT with the better springs in the rear (not stock). hope this helps.
