Possible to make 2016 GT as fast as Boss 302?

Wife test drove a 2012 Boss 302 at a dealer today. She came back laughing her head off, said it was amazing. We have 2016 GT with PP.

What would one have to do....if there is anything...to get our car to be that fast? She spoke about how it was just crazy ready to take off at any second...

Thanks, just curious!

Tom

It would be a daily driver and drag would be the ultimate aim.

I don't have tons of money at any ONE time, so it would be a "work in progress" kind of thing. A couple things at a time I guess, unless that's not possible.

What would you do first? Tune, air intake and exhaust? Minor stuff I guess compared to what ultimately you would need...right?

Handling might be close, but you need more power with the '16 due to the weight increase.

Do you have an auto or manual? What do you have done to the car already?

Nothing yet. Just put a Roush axelback on to make it sound better.

It's quick but not as fast off the line as our 2014 was. Need some kick *** take off power lol

If your '16 is an Auto.... the point would be mute on off the line accel and you wouldn't be posting this, right?

So for a manual start with gears. 3.73s will get you that off the line kick in the ***.

Then you have to do intake/tune to get more power and better throttle response, and perhaps up the revs a bit to get close the Boss 7400RPM redlline.

Then at the very least stiffer springs.

I know what your wife was talking about, but I don't know where the problem lies. I always thought it was the gearing in the Boss. It could be the tuning on the computer being slightly more aggressive on the Boss not to mention the additional power.
