2015-2016 GT Exhaust

Just found a great deal on new Magnaflow Street and Competition Cat -back exhaust systems on Ebay. Part numbers 19100 and 19101. These are new in the box for only $859.00 including free shipping, they seem to be on sale at most places for $1199.00. I bought the Street version. Waiting for it to be shipped. Looks like a cat-back system for the price of a axle back.

I have the street series catback, and I absolutely love it. It's loud when I want it to be - during acceleration and when I down shift, it sounds great. I couldn't be happier.

Hey Tony... They advertise that even the street version has a small HP/torque gain. Did you notice any?

I was told about 10-12 hp, but it's not really noticeable. That being said, the sound makes it worth the cost all by itself!

Finally had some time this weekend to get under the Mustang and put the Magnaflow system in. A little bit louder than expected, but on a good way. Easy to install, great looking mufflers and tips. Car seems to run stronger. Can't imagine how much louder the competition series is.

I completely agree! Louder than I expected but definitely in a good way. It will get you noticed!

I picked up the Competition series (19101) from ebay at around that price. Couldn't be happier. Louder than I anticipated, video's don't do it justice, but once the car adjusted to the increased airflow they actually got a little quieter, which was great for the freeway speed, 6th gear drone. Seriously, they sound fantastic.

As for gains, I can't say specifically what the exhaust did as I also installed a larger Throttle Body, Cold Air Intake, and a flashed the car using a Bama Tuner. All said and done, my 2015 GT PP feels and drives like a completely new beast.

I, too, went with the Roush AB exhaust on my 2015. Have you noticed it driving any differently than with the stock exhaust? I wish I could explain it, but I notice some hesitation with my car now.

I just purchased MBRP Race catback exhaust w/ H-pipe for my 2016 GT. A guy I work with races mustangs and he says that is a great brand. They've been in the truck exhaust business for a while and recently moved into car exhaust, specifically mustangs. So they were pretty cheap, for catback, because they're new to the scene. $640. Should be delivered and installed in the next week or so. I can't wait to hear it in person, videos just aren't the same!

I got rid of the streets for competition. like them better if you don't mind a mild drone ! They sound deeper and more muscle sounding !

I originally had an X-pipe with muffler deletes installed localy, but that was just too loud. So I grabbed some Dynomax Race bullets and had them installed, still loud, but a bit more class. I've got an audio link of my setup:

Corsa

As for a catback I have a Corsa Sport I picked up on ebay for $900. It has a nice aggressive sound with no drone. No regrets here. It sounds great.

I put magnaflow competition back on my 2017 GT premium. They sound great as they did on my 2015. However at 69 yrs. of age I cannot adjust to the popcorn sound. Due to the total reconstruction of valves and engine bore's and stroke. I had a 1970 mach 1 mustang with hooker headers and back then they were deep and rumbled. Exhaust to day sound rattle and popcorn sound when reved up. But the MGF19101 competition on slow take off sound deep until you pick up speed. But some guys in town have GT's also and when they pass in opposite direction like children they rev up to high RPM'S and their exhaust sound like poo poo! I bet they think they sound great. But again I'm from old school when engines and exhaust sounded like they should. Like my 2016 Harley low rider with the 120R racing motor on itand with thunder header exhaust now that's a sound going down the road.deep and loud all the way up to speed !

I have a 2017 after turning in my 2015. I am tempted to put the CAI and Throttle body and tune install but I lease and that's a ton of money to turn in. I lease because I want a new car each after first yr. of lease. Yes I said 1st. yr of 36 mo. lease . My great dealer bought out my lease after 1st. year knowing my turn in will sell and allows me to lease after a yr. as long as the used market holds up!
