Newbie with exhaust question

Hey everyone!

I just bought a 2015 GT, and I want to get a better-sounding exhaust.

I used to own a 2003 Cobra with Flowmaster exhaust (I don't remember which specific one), but it was the best sounding car, and I want something similar.

I like the deep, rumbling sound, and hate hate hate the raspy sound (personal preference). I've been listening to endless clips on youtube, and read your previous posts about exhaust, but I'm wondering if someone can help guide me better.

From what I understand, H-pipe will be more to my liking, right?

Help!

For some reason the Cobra sounds the best. I was up next to one last week and they really have the best sound. Not sure why

I had a corsa on my Vette I just sold and loved it. I just ordered a 2015 Mustang and was thinking that was the way to go.

My GT Convertible should be in at the end of April and I have been listening to every exhaust video that I can find.

I love the sound of the Magnaflow 3" competition and MBRP 3" street. I'm just worried it might be too loud. I like loud but not wake the neighbors loud.

I also think it sounds good with the resonator delete or the stock mufflers removed.

The videos that CJ Pony Parts make are awesome. I just wish they would show or list the db levels from a couple of different places, in car, 20' in front and in back. That would really help with understanding how loud it really is.

Muffler placement. The Fox cars and the SN95/New Edge cars had an ideal location right under the rear seats. In a federally mandated move to prevent cars from turning into huge fireballs in the event of a rear-end collision the fuel tanks now occupy that perfect spot.

Personally I find chambered mufflers and H-pipes don't work well with the S-197 and later Mustangs yet an X-pipe and more traditional mufflers do.

My vote for the 2015 GT goes with the double X and Corsa Extremes.
