I usually drive it easy so to speak for the first 500 miles or so. When I test drove my 2018 it only had 12 miles and I ran it to redline in first and second with the 10 speed auto. 2,500 miles now and no damage done.

The window sticker will have a little bit different production date. My sticker showed 05/30/18 where the door jam sticker shows 06/18

That would be an amazing deal. I think zero interest is still going on as well for the 18. Free money.

I drove it today. WOW. I’m very impressed and very happy. It was a little wet so had to be careful but the sound and power is awesome. Went about 25 miles on two lane twisty road. Only had 17 miles to start and the little nubs were still on the rear tires so no joy riding. Doesn’t have a lot of options but still my dream car. $28k out the door. Sticker was $36. Now I have the looong wait until Saturday. Thanks again for the input from all I know I’ll have a lot of questions. I Feel like a 65 year old kid.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Mustang. $28K out the door is a good price. We will be expecting photos of the car A.S.A.P.

Thumbs up

Do yourself a favor and change the oil early. I did mine at 220 miles and the oil was black and the catch pan had a lot of metallic crud in it. I did another change at 600 miles and all was much improved with very little crud. Also pre-fill your oil filter with oil to speed up oil pressure on a restart. Cheap insurance. My 2018 is quiet smooth, and no ticking. Good luck!

The date on the window sticker of your car lists a very late April 2018 build date. It was manufactured towards the end of 2018 model year production.

The door tag shows 5-18. I plan on changing oil around 500 miles. Walmart has Vavoline full synthetic for $22 a jug.

Congrats on your mustang, you got a great deal. I purchased my 2018 Mustang GT in June 2018, build date was may 2018 for $32,500 out the door. So far so good only 2500 miles. Have fun with it!
