Would replacing the factory transmission fluid possibly make shifting gears smoother? If so, what fluid would really make a positive difference? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Just for comparison, the best manual 6 speed I ever drove was in my 2003 Acura RSX Type-S.

Thanks for the pointer. Sounds like shifting issues for the mt82 have been around awhile. Makes one wonder why the manufacturer has not done anything about it or why Ford has not switched to another supplier.

Oh but they have! It's gotten better since Model Year 2011 when the MT82 first came out. It actually shifts now, though still not very well.
