Journey to 500 HP.

I've had my 2019 GT since September 22 and I'm loving it. I had a 2005 GT before this and it was nice but now that I have this it's a night and day difference. I had my 05 on the dyno very shortly after I bought it and it had 287 hp and 312 ft-lbs of torque bone stock. I know the 5.0 Coyote has about 460HP at the crank (according to Ford) and I'm not looking to spend $6-$8k for a supercharger or other forced induction setup for 2 reasons: 1.) I am worried about the internals with a boosted application. I've read several articles that say the stock internals are a significant upgrade then what was previously used and can comfortably handle up to 650+HP everyday with no issues but I'm still leary about adding a supercharge and damaging the engine down the road; and 2.) I'm really only looking at getting it to an even 500-550 hp. I was looking at doing an intake and throttle body upgrade and getting rid of the stock resonator. I do have the active exhaust option. Anybody know of a company offering an improved throttle body and intake option? I'd love to upgrade to what's on the Bullitt or GT350 editions. I'd also assume that a tune would be needed to get everything working. This car is my daily driver and I have been using 93 octane to get that last bit of performance with it stock.

My suggestion would be to search YouTube. There are several videos about increasing the horse power on the 2018 and newer Mustangs w/o a supercharger.

I'll be following this thread. I am wondering same thing. So far what I have seen on YouTube are tunes, cold air intake, e85, upgrade headers. Things like that. I have a 2018, just have resonator delete with h pipe. And I only use premium fuel. But a thread like this would help with ideas.

Put the GT350 intake kit on it and it will put you at about 525hp+ (60hp gain at 7200 rpm) according to Ford Performance. Although nothing is specifically listed for 2018 and up. I am sure there is something available from Ford to suite your needs

Ford Performance at this time odes not offer any Power Packs for the 2018 and newer Mustang GT. They most likely will in the future. They are waiting for 50 state emission compliance.

I was looking at this and other kits on CJ Pony Parts and American Muscle. Just have to wait for something to come out for the 2018+ models.

How complicated do you think that Power Pack is to install? Is it something a shop should do or is it an install that a weekend mechanic warrior (ahem), like me, could do?

According to the documentation it can be done in a day and it includes the software for the calibration/reflash. You only need a laptop with an internet connection to complete it.
