looking at a 19 gt auto without the pp , it has the optional 3:55 gears. is the dif a torsen with the upgrade or just different gear ratio ? $495 seems like alot to just switch gear ratio. the pp has 3:55 torsen dif

What does the window sticker say?

I would think that if it is a differential upgrade (Torsen) then the window sticker would say that; if it is just a ratio change then it would say that. I would not assume that the different ratio includes the Torsen differential, even though the price does seem a bit high for a gear change.

I'm pretty sure "limited slip" refers to the standard diff, if it was Torsen it would say Torsen . . . hope someone else can chime in to confirm that

 

Bert is right. Normal limited slip diff is a clutch pack unit. Torsen is only standard on PP1/2, and is available on non PP cars. Torsen Diffs come only with 3.73 gear.

 

10r80 pp1 owners get the 3.55 ratio gears... 3.73 are for the mt82.

pp1 lists torsen dif, so if windows doesn't say it, it's not included...
