I just want to get this straight...the only way you can get Brembo brakes on a GT is to get the $2500 GT Performance package, right? And it looks like this package can't be applied to an automatic car on Ford's website. Does that mean you can't get an automatic GT with brembo brakes/GT performance package? Could you custom order it?

 

It depends on the year. In 11/12, you could only get the Brembo package on manual transmission cars. In 13/14 you could get the Brembo package on an auto but not the newly added track pack. The track pack includes all of the stuff in the Brembo package but adds a Torsen diff, 3.73 gears, remote oil cooler, and boss radiator. The track pack was for manuals only.

The 2015 GT can be fitted with a six-piston Brembo brake kit from Ford Racing:

The 2016 order guide pics are showing a four-piston brakes (Brembo?) as standard equipment. Looks like the GT performance package w/six-piston Brembo brakes is not available with the automatic transmission.

 

So your only option is to buy it without and have the dealer install the Ford Racing equipment?

 

Yes only the M6 cars get the six piston Brembos as part of the performance pack in 2015. Non-performance pack M6 and all A6 cars only come with the standard 4 piston calipers.
