This gorgeous blue 5.0 GT might not be the first right-hand drive Mustang in the U.K., but it very well might be first that was ever used as a grand prize giveaway. Paul Godfrey was the lucky winner in Best of the Best‘s recent prize giveaway, and his reaction in the video below tells a bigger story. Now that the Mustang is available with the steering wheel on the other side, it has proven to be a smash hit in new markets. The undeniable appeal of big performance with a small price translates quite well abroad.

“I’ll always remember my first mile in a Mustang,” remarks one of the hosts, recalling his fondest Mustang memory. They also talk about the iconic status of a Mustang, as well as the sound from the 5.0 V8. As you’ll see in the video, there’s nothing but smiles when he revs the engine.

For Paul, the winner, the introduction to his Mustang couldn’t have happened at a better time. He’d been down on his luck for a few years and was trying to get back on his feet for himself and his family. He certainly can say he has good luck on his side now.
