Now, about that battery cover...
The plugs an nuts came off quite easily, and I even figured out how to get the nuts back on the studs, after lifting and pulling the cover. I quit pulling because it seems I'm not getting the right leverage to free up the back fastener arrangement. I'm still apprehensive about breaking something* on a car that's only been here for 17 days.
*One of the fasteners of the battery cover. Somehow I rendered it imperfect, and left the second such (the ones with a + on top) alone.

Little by little.

Going from a 13 to an 18, I didn't mind the cover on the 13, but the 18 is a bit much... Can you post a pic of the motor without the cover?

I was wondering about that too because i would be inclined to ditch the covers right away.

But I guess it must be Frankenstein fugly with tubes and wires and plumbing all over, interested to see what it actually looks like.

Here is the LMR short video on how to remove the 2018 GT engine cover. The engine with the cover removed looks similar to the GT350.

THERE's my problem. I've been trying to remove the cover with the strut brace in place. Now it's going to be easy. I hope.

The battery cover is not hard to remove I just do not understand the need to cover it in the first place. I removed the cover today and hooked my battery tender to completely charge the battery.
