2015 mustang gt premium question

Ok. Had my car 2 mos. Now and still learning features.
The button that reads "mode" and shows a "sport setting and track" setting.....
What does each mode do. Do the settings affect engine and suspension. If so specifically what does each setting do for engine and/or suspension?????? Thanks

An explanation of the various driving modes can be found on page 169 of your owner's manual. You can also download a copy of it for your computer at the Ford website.

No Suspension adjustments.

Normal Mode = economy mode practically (sucks)

Sport+ mode = true throttle limited only by traction control, sport steering, rpm's will not drop below ~2000rpm which will result in engine breaking as you decelerate, gears will hold after aggressive throttle until you drive at a constant speed, then it will upshift. If you drive over ~60mph, 6th gear will engage because at that speed you are over 2000rpm. Therefore, awesome for highway driving over 60mph, but might be too aggressive for city driving.

Track mode = same in every way to Sport+ except, traction is reduced but not removed entirely. What this means is that when you perform WOT's you won't experience lag, making it more "responsive" when you do WOT's. (roll at any speed for example and WOT in Sport+ and then in Track and you'll notice an annoying lag in Sport+ and it's absence in Track). Perfect for racing!

Best to get a custom tune to change Normal mode with unhindered throttle response subject to traction control and sharper shifts. Add additional HP in the process and live happily ever after!

Since I am new to the forum, I need to ask this question relevant to what was just said: is the addition of a "custom tune" something that will VOID your new car warranty?

Yes a tune will void your drivetrain warranty and don't let anyone tell you any differently.

Before I got my upgrades and tune, called the service manager at my dealership and he directed me to talk to Ford directly and basically Ford would have to prove that the changes you made led to any required repair before refusing coverage. Any specific part you replace of course will no longer be covered, but in no certain terms they say it voids your warranty.

This question may be misplaced, but there has been some conflicting information about rim widths (19" wheels) for 2015-2016 GT's with the PP. They come standard with staggered wheels: 9" in front and 9.5" in back. The American Muscle web site appears to indicate that these widths are NOT sacred. So I was wondering you could also put 9.5" 19" rims on the front. In this way, you could at least swap tires front to back. If this CAN be done, what is the downside?

Thanks to anyone that has some insight into this, for I surely do not.
