Unhappy 2011 GT wheels on an 2016 GT

I bought some used 2011 GT wheels (18x8) to use for winter rims and everything I read online indicated they should fit my stock 2016 GT (no Brembos) fine.

I had Costco try to install them and they say the front wheels are barely touching the calipers. I don't have much confidence in their service so I'm wondering if they somehow screwed up.

I called my local Ford dealership to see if they can do anything. The parts adviser agreed with me that they should fit. They aren't legally allowed to sell spacers (?????) but could try to see if the wheels fit.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

The standard 4-piston calipers are quite a bit bigger than the standard 2-piston S197 calipers. You might be able to get away with a 1/4" spacer to clear them if it's that close. Remember those 18" wheels didn't clear the Brembos either, which is why Ford put the 19" wheels over them.
