Weird sound coming from car

I have a 2018 Eco Boost. I've had it for almost two years now. Never had an issue with it until now. Lately, my turbo has been louder than usual. I'm actually hearing the pttf sound very clearly which before I never did. I actually have chalked it up to my car actually breaking in since it only has 37,952 km on it. I got it with 28, 000 km already. Should I be worried about it being louder? Also, yesterday I've been hearing a metal clinging sound when I am in between second and third. My bf thinks it's my turbo but I think it's my clutch. I'm having no issues shifting, but like most clutches, they wear out fast and are usually the first to go. Now, my extended warranty is done so my bf will be doing the repairs if needed so. I've also been told it can be my catalytic converter because of the metal sound. My friend said the metal filter can be worn out. I don't like bringing any car to a dealership blind so they can gouge me so having a little bit of information would be great. I can go there and give my opinions of what I want them to look at because dealerships love replacing parts that are not needed but never rise up to actually fixing the real problem. I don't trust them whatsoever. Also, I am selling this car to upgrade to a 5.0 liter and I want to get the most money out of my Eco Boost at retail is actually pretty good for these cars. Would It be a smart thing to change up my turbo for a bigger one and put in a cool air intake? I'm thinking the added horsepower will help get me to sell this car and get the most from it. With my first question, I'm not sure if I'm just being hyper-vigilant with the turbo sound, but the clinging sound is not my imagination. Thank you for taking the time to read my post and am looking forward to having some kind of idea to what is going on with my car. All readings from the car are good and not giving me any clue about anything wrong this is why I'm thinking it's the clutch but my bf is insisting it's the turbo.

Your Base Warranty is Over and you Say your Extended Policy is over but You May Have Coverage for{ Powertrain} on the Turbo and {Emission Coverage} if it is a Cat Converter. I have posted a Link to the Canadian Fleet Site at the Bottom you can Download a Pdf. of the Warranty Coverage. People Don't Realize How Many Different Coverages they May Have Available. There is Also Coverage for {Restraint Systems} which go Beyond the Other Warranties. The Final Verdict is the Per Sey The Dealer Says you Need a Turbo. They Punch in the Mileage, Vin and Base Part Number for the Turbo and Ford will Say if it is Covered. But Get to Reading the Warranty Info and See what I mean.

Hopefully your Repairs will be Covered.

Fyi, When a Turbo Needs Replacing Most of the Hardware Must be Replaced as it is One Use Hardware. As well as All the Oil Lines & Water Lines and a Ton of Gaskets & Seals. It is a Real Pain to do them Correctly. It is Not for the Inexperienced. If you Look at the Link It will show you a lot of the Items Needed to do the Job Correctly. Just Showing you as an FYI, Look at the Whole Page not Just the Turbo's.
