Magnaflow Catback system #19097
I just had a Magnaflow Street Catback System installed into my 2017 convertible. The sound is incredible with its subtle deep tone and great looks. Problem is that it doesn’t fit without lots of cutting, refitting and cursing. The problem is due to the brace that the convertibles have behind the rear axles. The space there is very limited. As it is, the Magnaflow tailpipe will either rest on the brace causing an unwanted rattle, or if it’s raised off the brace then the pipe will hit the rear sway bar mount.
The solution was to cut the tailpipes behind the mufflers to change the angle and repositioning the hangers near the axles. I’m sure that little, if any modifications would be needed if this was a coupe. As far as being a direct bolt on for the convertible, not a chance !

Simple solution would have been to taken the brace down and added a 1/2" spacer then put the brace back in place. would not have harmed anything and you would have achieved the clearance needed for your exhaust system.
