First Oil Change - Trip Update - W/GT350 Photo

Well, I took her in for the first oil change this morning. This was the free one, from my dealer. Took 30 minutes, and I enjoyed their free coffee bar.

I have driven 2932 miles and decided to change it since I am leaving on a 1400 mile trip tomorrow.

Changed to Motorcraft Full Synthetic (no extra cost), which I used in my '13 SHO. The EB did not show any oil usage in the first 2932
miles. So far, I am very happy with the overall performance, cruising on the Interstate, as well as gas mileage. This will be the first fairly long trip, which is its' primary use, so it will be interesting to see how the MPG stacks up to my 2011 GT/CS and SHO which made the same trip a few times.

UPDATE:
I just returned from the trip to the Twin Cities, for the Auto Show, 651 miles (one way) in 8.7 hours, going and a little closer to 10 coming back as I stopped a few more times. The car performed flawlessly, cruising at 75 mph. It is quiet, handled the lousy parts of the Interstate, in Minnesota, very well, and believe me, it was BAD! Not a squeak or rattle, and if there were going to be any, this was the road that would have brought them out.

The seat was very comfortable, although I missed the massage seat in the SHO

My MPG remained pretty constant at 29.3, and that wasn't bad considering I was driving with 20-40 mph cross winds. Temps ranged from freezing in the Cities to the high 60's after crossing into South Dakota, on the return trip. The AC works and so did the cooled seat. Not a drop of oil was used in the almost 1500 miles total.

I did not see another 2015 during the trip. I was approached by someone at a gas stop who wanted to look her over and asked a lot of questions. He was really impressed with the looks and the performance of 4. He couldn't believe it was rated at 310 hp. Ford needs to get the word out on this engine. He had no idea there was an Echoboost 4 in the Mustang.

All in all a great break in trip and I am looking forward to more as the summer comes on.

As a side note, they had a GT350 on display. Like it.! Here is a photo:

See OP, there is a trip update and GT350 photo. I couldn't get the thread title to reflect the additions.

Sorry for the delay in answering. I used Motorcraft Full Synthetic. I used this in my 2011 GT and the 2013 SHO with no oil usage at all. This has the added benefit of "no questions asked" should an engine problem develop in the future, especially since this is a new engine with no maintenance background.

This is the same reason I let my dealer do the changes. And, they do nice work. No complaints at all.
