When it comes to autocross, cones mean more than just a barrier. They can range from pointers, to gates, to obstacles. On top of that, they can increase your actual time with penalties. If you have never tried it, you should. Not much can happen to your car, maybe a scuff or 2 from hitting a cone (buffs right out, normally), a little tire wear but all in all a great way to spend a day and meet some friends.... When picking a class, consider Classic American Muscle.
