Quick question: Are the factory stripes considered matte or glossy?

I want to buy a set of the black hood accent decals that American Muscle sells for a friend's red 2011 GT/CS as a gift. I want to make sure I get the same finish of a stripe as what the factory uses in the GT/CS stripe going along the side. I thought it was more of a glossy style but I don't have one to see in person any time soon and I need to place more order today. Anyone have the answer I need?

If this picture is the correct indication:

Then the stripe is matte, for you see no reflections on it, vs the glossy black door.

Other GT/CS car stripes that I've seen/found seem to also be of this nature.

So I'd go matte.

Hey John,

Great question!

Houtex is correct as most California Specials come with Matte Black striping from the factory therefore our Matte Black decals will match perfectly!

We appreciate your business and I'm sure your friend will love the gift! Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

No problem at all! We appreciate it.

I see you have a Mustang of your own! What are your plans for that beauty?

Well, I've got most of the cosmetic stuff out of the way:

GT500 spoiler
Roush front splitter
RTR rear decklid panel
SR Performance lowering springs
2011 SVTPP wheels
Wicked Dipz Deep Impact Blue Coil Covers
35% tint and tinted side marker lights

Still want to get a Boss 302 rear diffuser, paint my brake calipers DIB, and possibly get some stripes.

Just found out last night my girlfriend ordered me an MGW Race Spec shifter so I'll be visiting MGW on April 2nd for the install.

When money allows, I'd like to get my car dyno tuned (and maybe a CAI), a 1-piece aluminum drive shaft, some slotted brake rotors, and some GT500 strut mounts and proper shocks and struts so that my ride isn't as harsh with the lowering springs. And if I ever get lucky enough to find one when I have the money, one of the Boss 302 quad exhaust H-pipes.
