Quad exhaust valance fitment

I have a 2014 cs and the valance on mine looks similar to the GT500 except obviously for the tip cut outs.
It also looks like it is already opened up to accept the GT500 valance without any cutting.

Is this the case? Is the GT500 a straight swap (just pop off the CS and snap in the other).
I like the look of the quads as well as the sound so just researching options to replace the stock axle back.

Thanks everyone for any help.

Yes, you can just buy the GT500 valance and pop it on. Ya lucky bastard

Thanks for the info.
I do feel lucky to grab the car last week.
Here is a pic of the car next to my old 07.

Nice. Your 07 wasn't bad either! Yeah I'm doing the quads too, but I have to cut my bumper. Haha it's not too bad...I wish it was just bolt on like yours!

Yea you are very lucky. I am trying to convince myself that it is OK to cut the back end up LOL. I have heard the Single and duals they sound almost the same.

I might just go with the Singles and go Track key with side cut outs.

I was looking at a lot of singles as well but on the ones that sounded decent the pipe stuck out the back way too far for my liking.
I liked the Ford racing sport exhaust but every video I saw it looked like it cleared the valance by a good bit.
The 11/12 GT500 single fits nice and are fairly flush but I saw the quads and they do look pretty good.

Magnaflow and Corsa quads look pretty sweet with the double walled tips but the prices....ouch.

^^Btw, nice Hurst Olds setup in your sig. Your car I take it from your screen name?

The 11 12 Gt500's are great. I am told they get louder as you drive them. Someone on this forum I think did a cut apart of both Mufflers. They looked the same. The price on those is really hard to beat. $300 or less. If you want it louder then remove the resonators.

It was till some one pulled out in front of me. It took 6 months to repair. GM had to re make some parts.

Now I am on to Mustangs. The QUADS RULE

I have quads as well and love them. The pic is from when I first got the car and a little dark because the exhaust is black.

^^ Both pictures look great.
Am still undecided....between the quads and a set of Borla stingers with the 4.5 inch tips.

Last 1 - Did you have to swap any other suspension parts when you went with the K springs?

Thanks! For the suspension, I changed the bump stops, and added the adjustable panhard bar. It has been 7 months and I am not experiencing any issues with the shocks/struts yet, but I know that I am limiting the life of them. I will be replacing in spring with Koni. I spoke to a good shop here in NJ (JDM) and they eased my mind a bit because I was worried about the driveshaft with the k spring height on stock shocks/struts. The 2 piece driveshaft is a bit forgiving and there shouldn't be issues with the k springs. Maybe someone else on here can also weigh in...

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but, how complicated/difficult is it to swap out the Cali valance for the quad GT 500 valance? TIA

I would be interested in that too? Also - approx cost and is it just a swap out - or do you have to do more to the suspension etc. I am not a mechanic so new to all of this.

Where did you get your Quads - everything I look on at American Muscle is way too pricey. Yours look sweet and would look just as sweet on my 2014 GT/CS assuming like you said it was a direct swap.

TIA

I am thinking the valence is a different animal than the quad exhaust? Remember I am new to the game and don't know much about cars - except I know what I like to hear and the way they look and the way they handle :-)

I see this on Ebay and it says it is not compatible with my Stang??

I guess where do you find the quad exhaust and valance GT500 that is compatible with a 2014 GT/CS Convertible?

If I'm not mistaken, you just pop tabs out on the back and remove a few push pins and it should pop out. The GT500 should use the exact same slots. (Probably take you under 10 min) And I don't think you'd have to do anything to the suspension.
