Why do you say that GHIG was not offered? Do you mean on the GT/CS?
I just bought a '14 GHIG GT/CS Vert the other day.
Also since the GT/CS has a good deal of tape striping, should I be concerned about automatic car washes? This is my first convertible so I guess the car wash question applies to the top too.
Please let me know what you guys think

I never saw a GHIG GT vert till after I took delivery of my Grabber GT. If I had there's a 75% chance that would have been the color. Mods would be identical, except the stripes would be black.

I can definitely say that pictures do not do GHIG justice at all. In person the color looks great. Don't get me wrong it is an obnoxious, in your face color but I really like it more each day.
Also I was never really interested in the GT/CS before but now that I have it like the small touches. The GT/CS on the seats, the suede inserts, etc. I also really like the lower side stripe better that the middle of the door stripes in previous years.

Automatic car wash?!!! Get ready for scratch and swirl city.
Recycled water, tiny rocks in brushes. Poor quality soap.

in 2013 and for the majority of 2014 production the GT/CS was not available in Grabber Blue or GHIG. I for one am kinda pissed about that. I wanted a GT/CS in Grabber Blue, but instead had to add all the exterior pieces myself after the fact. i opted for the roush front splitter instead tho.
Black is not a color. It's a career choice.

I used automatic washes often the last few years and never had any paint issues.
I know I'll try to do hand washes as often as possible with this new one too but in a pinch if I needed to get her washed quickly, would the tape stripes be at risk in your average touch less car wash?

I may have solved the mystery of at least my 2014 GHIG GT/CS convertible.
At the dealer today a salesman (not mine) saw me pull in and he said "you know that car was special built by the Ford Performance Group for the Charlotte Auto Show"
I didn't go to the show this year and I can't find any pics of it at the show but that would make sense. Also I noticed on the sticker it says sold to Ford Motor Company and not to any specific dealer.

Ah that makes perfect sense. Just glad you didn't totally give up on the Mustang!
