2012 GT 5.0 California Special! I finally bit the bullet and traded my 2011 3.7L V6 for this White beauty! The car is loaded with Shaker, sync, heated seats, navigation, my color ambient lighting. In addition, this baby has only 5k on the OD. The original owner added a hood scoop, shorty antenna, floor mats, and Roush louvers.
Best of all, I kept my car payment the same and picked up a new warranty. The car was purchased at Ray Skillman in Greenwood, Indiana. The largest Roush dealer. Great service if you're in the market. I am beyond stoked! More pics and reviews when temps improve. -Pat

Yes, I've been thinking about it for a while. I had to work on the wife. Lol
I originally wanted red...until I saw performance white. I'm done with black cars. I'm getting old and cleaning a black car is like a second job.

Thanks! the RR is stunning no doubt. My gut kicked in though... That bright red with my lead foot=trouble. I read somewhere that red cars get more tickets? Could be a myth.

So the question.....how big a difference between the 2?

Well hopefully this doesn't become a V6 vs V8 discussion. Lol
My first impression of the 5.0 GT is that the car is more refined, stable, and with a stiffer suspension, tighter steering wheel. The brakes are better on the GT no doubt.
However, the V6 feels a tad lighter, softer, cushier and nimble at lower rpms. It's when the GT starts to get in the high band that it really shines. The GT is very docile at low cruising speeds but becomes a monster breaking speed limits. Although an aggressive car also, the v6 would start to poop out at about 70-85mph. The GT wants to goooooooo!
We came to a stoplight and my wife said. "You can hear this car." (Idle lope) she then said, "you couldn't hear that in the other car." I knew I made the right choice.
This is my 4th mustang and you really can't compare it to anything. It's in a class of its own. That being said, the v6 is a little demon too.
Both are cars I was proud to own/have owned.

I had no problem with the handling of my V6 as it had the performance package which I believe used the suspension from the GT...to me it was like a mini GT. I got a lot of compliments on the car as there is nothing better ( at least to me) than a clean black car. I just wanted more low end torque and get up ( the reason I got the 3.73 gear) and of course that V8 sound. I wish I could take the PP wheel from my 6 and put them on the 8...I think they would look sharp on the silver....

That is awesome! Congrats. I know the feeling. I recently went from a V6 to a V8. I was wowed at first acceleration. That power is addicting. My lead foot is heavier now. lol. The ambient lighting, I think that is so cool. But I rarely drive at night to enjoy it.

Silver is a great choice.
It is very bright in the sun. Need some sunglasses to look at it.
