CAI no tune

Ok guys... I've read tons of posts about whether adding a CAI actually does anything... especially without a tune. My only problem is... how can the manufacturers claim the gains. I dont want a tune due to my warranty (possibly considering the Ford Racing ProCal) but Airaid's CAI for the 5.0 has a version with or without the tune and the one without still claims hp gains. How is this possible?

Ask to see a video of a dyno pull with just that cai as the mod or ask to see the dyno slip for just that mod. (Try to have everything in writing, as I do, just to be sure you have their word written in case what they say isn't true. You'll have written proof of their words. Am I cynical? Yes!,...very much so!)
Personally, I say leave your stock air box. GOOD LUCK!

Yeah, seems like a waste of money without the tune. I also refuse to do a tune. When this warranty is up, I'm throwing on a SC or twin turbo until the next Mustang redesign lol.

Cai with no tune is a waste of $$. Why get it ? The pro cal tune is a standard mild tune. It will not take an aftermarket cai into consideration
