2010 GT500 Vert Wheels and tire question.

I'll make it brief. Well, brief for me. I do go on sometimes...

---

Getting the 2010 GT500 Vertible Wheels. The M-1007DC-1895s. 18x9.5. Excited about it, long story, won't tell, boring.

Awesome doesn't use TPMS, so regular ol' valve stems will work on these, right? Just can't figure they won't, but... I'd rather know. I know, inane, humor me, I'm insane.

The more important is this. Tire size is 275/40R18 that I'll be goin' with for rotation and wear purpose. I know I'll have to put in steering stops, no big.

They don't make my Cooper Zeon RS3-As in that size. Just the RS3-Ss, which I won't get, because I need all weather, rain traction.

This sucks.

So I'm researching, and yes, I read the Tire Picking sticky, and also searched the site... no dice. This website doesn't cover these two tires, near as I can tell:

Bridgestone Potenza re760 Sport.
Summer tire, but reviews seem to indicate semi-acceptable wet traction and decent wear. Lil' goofy tread pattern, but hey.

Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTZ.
All Season, supposedly great wet traction and excellent wear. The tread is pretty too.

I know of the others, the Nittos, the Sumitomos, etc... But was wondering if these are known entities 'round these parts. You know how those tire reviews are on all those websites...

Thanks in advance, y'all!

You will need TPMS, compatible with your model year.

You will not need steering stops.

Cooper AS3 are outstanding tires.

I run 275-35-18 Michelin Pilot Super Sports on 2007-2007 GT500 stock wheels, grip is supernatural. Stock steering stops 2007 GT.

Thanks bothyas for the replies!

MJJ, My '06 doesn't have TMPS. So the sensors are wasted. It turns out that a regular ol' valve stem is just fine in these wheels, which was my bigger worry.

And indeed, the 275s and the big rims don't rub, no stops needed. I'm elated that's the case.

I think you will be very happy. I personally cant wait to put back on my 2007-2009 GT500 wheels and tires just as soon as temps stay over 45 F. A week maybe two? Post pics once they are on for us!!
