What is the biggest/widest tire I can use on a 2013 GT with standard rims?

Widest tire you CAN use and widest tire you'd want are two different things.

Which wheels do you have?

Widest Tires

I have a 2013 GT. The only option is a 3.73 rear. No Performance Pack, no special wheels.

The stock wheels that come with a GT.

I need the widest tire that will fit standard rims on a GT that will not rub or impact the car.

I think a 275 is about the absolute widest you'd want to go. We're talking a 18x8 wheel, right?

What do you mean by "impact the car"? If you put wider tires on it, the car will be impacted.

I think the widest recommended is a 255. In the old days, we put 275 on 7 inch Chevelle and Camaro rims but that was probably not the best choice for traction or safety.
