Are there any aftermarket wheels that don't require hub centric rings?
I've got a '13 GT with 18" wheels and standard brakes and I'm looking to go plus one (19" wheels and 255-40-19 tires). I want a wheel that will minimize my chances of vibration--essentially an OEM fit. The problem is that Ford OEM Racing wheels are heavy and I want to go with something lighter. I especially like the 19" Boss 302 S wheel, but it weighs 31 pounds.
Are there any Mustang-specific aftermarket wheels that will fit without the need for a hub-centric ring?
TIA

Most of the less expensive wheels don't use hub centric rings.
Why wouldn't you want to use them? They locate the wheel more precisely.
The oem wheels are built with hub centric centers machined into them.

Lug centric are a pain.
I have an extra set of alum wheels for studs for my winter car that are lug centric. I do my best to support the tire and take up the lug nuts just right. Even with that some years I get a vibration at speed that I know is due to lug centric. This winter I got em pretty good as there was no vibration. I'd like to get hub centric adapters but they're not cheap.

Glenn, can you cite a few of the manufacturers? Am I looking at a custom wheel (like RTR's) in order to get a precise fit? Does any company make a wheel that will bolt on to the car in the same manner as an OEM wheel (without the need for an adaptor)?
