Suspension Update

Hi All,

Well I still have no idea what is making or should I say what "was" making the noise. For now the sound mysteriously went away. Perhaps from being up on the lift as many times as it had knocked whatever was loose back into place???? I have no clue. The mechanic hooked the car up with the the microphones and could not get the car to make the sound. I could not believe it when they told me. So I immediately left my office and headed for the mechanic shop. I drove it myself while it was hooked up with the microphones and I could not get the car to make the noise either! That was a week ago and haven't heard it since.

Excellent. Maybe I should have mine put up on a lift and see if that solve the problem. LOL! Actually, mine is sporadic. Some days it makes the sound and then nothing for a week or two, and then it comes back on one drive, and then gone on the next. Weird. I'm glad yours is fixed.

Sounds like maybe something was caught in the suspension? My friend had a nasty banging sound once in his Audi... Called me late one night worrying about the tranny. Turned out he hit a raccoon and the raccoon head got caught under the car and was banging in the tranny as he shifted. Maybe you picked up a stick or something. Or a raccoon head
