Stuck on shopping for rear control arms
I'm stuck!
I've looked at Steeda, Whitleine, BMR, Cortex, and Hotchkis.
I "want" the heim joint setup that Steeda offers or the BMR stage 4 Drag setup. But the reality of it is I drive the car 12 miles a day total during the week and around 100 miles on the weekends.
I will be tracking the car (track days at a few of the local SoCal tracks, drag racing , etc). So I want to know that whatever I choose can handle the abuse and last as this is typically a $600-$800 investment I'm making. That doesn't include a watts link or anything cool like that either, just upper and lowers with relocation brackets.
I'll be building this thing a bit backwards from the rest. I got my exhaust done because it was butchered. Now that its complete I can concentrate on getting the existing power to the ground before I go doing a cai and tune.
I'll be chasing all my failure points from the rear forward... Control arms, maybe a watts link or good pan-hard and brace, driveshaft, clutch/flywheel, etc. Once I get this buttoned up I'll be able to concentrate on upping the power levels.

I can tell you that we test our parts on the track ... and we try to break them ... so we know the consumer won't. Our parts are made with the highest quality American parts right here in the U.S.A.
They are designed, engineered, and manufactured with the highest quality in mind ... they are even manufactured under strict ISO 9001:2008 standards.
Please email me at tim@steeda.com if I can provide more in depth answers to your questions.
We have been in the business since 1988 ... you won't be disappointed in our product.
Best Regards,
TJ

I was hoping you'd chime in. I had a cart on the website full of the Race only LCA and relocation brackets, the competition third link and bracket and the spherical bearing. I went to bring up the lowers to get a look at the specs on them and it says that the page doesn't exist. Are these still offered?
And based on what I said in the OP, I've considered the comp setups from different companies in the interest of extended durability and all out performance while sacrificing a bit of ride and NVH. It's primarily a daily, but when I play with it, and as I track it in the future... I'm not gonna be easy on it.
Am I shooting myself in the foot here because I don't know better, or do I trust my gut and build for longevity? (do it once, do it right style).
Versus a poly bushing setup needing special grease, what's the upkeep on a Heim joint style setup?
Nothing against Steeda, I have several Steeda parts and I love them all. But there are some other options you may want to check out. Namely Kenny Brown.
KB parts are a little more on the spendy side of the spectrum. But they use the same parts in racing applications on successful cars and drive continual improvement based on track results. Plus I can attest to unbelievably awesome customer support. So you get what you pay for.
Suggest you check it out...

So many choices!
The one LCA you haven't mentioned is METCO's billet versions. It is a delrin/ poly combo. We run them on our 13 boss with the Whiteline relocation brackets. Their billet work is just amazing.
We have a pretty good package deal on the METCO LCA's and WL relos.
