Spring help

I was thinking about putting a set of springs on my car to lower it and stiffen up the ride a little, but I noticed most of the spring manufacturers have different rTed springs and they use letters for a rating system. Can someone help educate me on how the rating system works?

never seen a letter used to rate springs, who's springs are you looking at? Also think about shocks since the springs may stiffen but not remove the floaty feel stock shocks have

Ford I don't believe posts their spring rates, but I see what you mean now, I would say that is more a part number designation then anything. This should help you determine which spring to go with based on rates and drop, http://bossmustangsonline.com/index.php?topic=5659.0

OP, how low are you wanting to go? Every FRPP spring set we tried (minus K springs) we liked. P springs are pretty conservative whereas the K springs are fairly aggressive. What are your goals?

I was thinking 1" to 1.25" in the front and 1.5" in the back

Go with BMR. Perfect drop, nice ride. Camber plates not needed.

K springs are way too stiff. When I had them, I got zero weight transfer, which gave me zero traction from a stop. Ive heard bmr is good in regards to weight transfer. Probably too soft though.

Yeah BMR aren't drag springs. I like them for DD.
