Sidewall choices for Brembo/Track-Pack Wheels

Dear Fellow Stangers,

To those of you went wider tires on stock brembo/track-pack wheels, what sidewall did you choose? And will it reduce/increase the gap?

Stock...
255-40-19
255-40-19

I am picturing...
255-35-19
275-30-19

I am on Coilovers so the car is lowered, but still have some gap.
Thanks in advance!

275/40 19, they are the same height as what is on the California Special.

if the goal is less gap, you need a taller tire. Your best bet is 275/40 in the 19' variety. stock 255/40 tires are 27.03". 275/40 are 27.7" All other sizes you mentioned are far shorter

Thanks for kind advise. I was thinking backwards somehow shorter tires would fill the gap

Having the Coilovers put on the car lowered with it, is making me confusing as far as filling the gap & clearing the bottom vs. good stance. When my Coilovers were installed at first, the car was too low that the bottom will scrap everywhere. So I raised up about 1/2 inch and now it's good. Gained a bit of gap it seems though.

Those adjustments were all done based on the Stock Brembo wheels & tires. Now that I'm replacing the tires, what size to go with and do I need to adjust the height or lol. Also, not sure where I got this 'Shorter tires = Cooler' impression.

Don't we have to go One size down in rear if want wider??
How about this then:
255/40/19 in front
275/35/19 in back

Less gap with the 275/40 19. 3/8th of an inch less gap and I am running a square setup.

You don't have to, you can keep a square setup. If you want wider in the back you can go 274/40 of you like rake look (taller rear than front), or you can go 275/35 if you want the rear to drop more.

Ditto. I have the 274/40 square set up and love the traction.

Your car looks awesome by the way! Love those wheels with Sterling Gray

I play in the Mountains so having as much rubber in the front is a good thing. I went wth the Contenital DW and it is night and day over the Pirelli's. They are better for slaloms over drag racing though.
And thanks, it only took 2 years to deside on wheels
