Shocks, struts and Alignment question
Ok So I just lowered my car with P springs a few weeks ago and got a wheel alignment. Today I got a great deal on a set on Koni orange 2011-2014. So I was planning on putting the rear shocks on tomorrow.
Is that alright to run the koni rear shocks with the stock fronts?
When I get around to changing the front struts will I need another alignment?

I think you would need the front realigned. Depending on what you are looking at doing I would grab some CC plates just so each side can be set to the exact same specs. You should be fine with the Koni rears and stock fronts, might feel a little weird though.

I put 55D springs and Koni orange on the back only about 2 weeks ago, front all stock. Rides fine, better than stock, will be no issue until I can ge to the struts....
I had a blown rear shock and had to do it ASAP.

Yes you should get it aligned again after you change your front struts. There's no way it will be perfect after a strut replacement. And no nothing is wrong with using different front struts than what is out back.

Thanks for the input.
Been kinda lazy this week so haven't installed the rear shocks. Going on a tour of Italy next week so once I get back I plan on installing the struts and shocks. Also have a BMR UCA and mount to put on. Then take it back and get the alignment checked. Then I'll be done with suspension for awhile.
