Rotors

Hello All:

I currently have a 2011 GT Conv wiith the Brembro Brake Package. I just had the calibers powder coated and its almost time to do my brakes. I wanted to get the cross drilled slotted rotors but now people are telling me not to go with cross drilled but just slotted and "dimpled". This is not an everyday car. The local people that i use told me to get Power Slot and they will work fine with the brembo package i have...is that true? If not can anyone make any suggestion?

Thanks

I think you'll find that blank rotors work best for street use. Slotted would probably be OK as well.

Drilled rotors have a tendency to crack, especially cheaper options. Realize that any holes, dimples or slots reduce the mass of the rotor, meaning it can hold less heat. The benefits of such treatments are rarely realized during street use.

www.frozenrotors.com ..... Frozen Rotors cryogenically-treated slotted rotors = best street rotors you'll ever use.

Combine them with Hawk HPS brake pads and you have a combo that can't be beat

If the question is between slotted or drilled. Get slotted. As stated above drilled can crack. Performance wise. Probably wont notice much. Change your pads too if you want a noticeable upgrade. Hawk HPS is a decent choice as Gabe pointed out.
