Question on eibach struts and gt500 mounts

ok guys need a little help here... i drive a 2013 gt 5.0, and recently purchased the eibach sportline springs, and pro strut and shock kit from eibach to, and the gt500 strut mounts... well went to install them today and the back was the breeze, the front is were im having issues, i removed the stock strut with breeze, and went to install the eibach spring and strut with the gt500 mount, and after compressing the spring i noticed the gt500 mount will not fit on the shaft of the strut it goes on but, i cant get it to grab the nut in the middle.... any advice will help out... thanks

I think you re-use your stock mounts with the eibach struts

My guess... you have the 2011+ Struts (part #35125.840) instead of the 2005-10 Struts (35101.840). IIRC the GT500 Strut mounts only work with the 2005-10 Struts as they have a longer bolt. Using the GT500 Strut mounts has been the answer for how to use the struts that are not 2011+ specific ones.

Assuming I'm right (which I may very well not be), you'll probably have to get 2011+ specific strut mounts or go with the stock ones.

You can always take apart the factory strut/spring/mount and re-use your factory mounts, that was the point of the 2010+ specific design.

Yes. If the car's already apart I would just go this route and return the GT500 mounts...

The stock ones aren't bad and I think they made 2011-2014-specific specs on those Eibach examples vs the 05-10 models...

This whole thing was very confusing to me while I was researching out my parts list. I was originally going to go with the Eibachs as well but I already had the GT500 mounts (found a good deal) and once I realized the 2011+ specific struts weren't going to work, I ended up going with the Koni STR.Ts which aren't made specifically for the 2011+ Mustangs.

After responding to your post, I ended up driving over to where my car and parts are stored to just to make certain everything is going to fit.
