Can't tell really. I have checked the rear pads to see how low they are and they have plenty of use left in them. Over a 1/4" of pad left. I don't know.

Feedback after today: Worked great. Had no issues with the front brakes all day. I have a rear right caliper that is sticking and overheating, so I had to bleed that one caliper after each session, but the fronts were perfect.

I'm happy (overall)

Super Sweet update. This gives me hope. Today my wife even commented on the brake noise. Time to put her up in the air. Saturday afternoon maybe.

Glad to hear you had much better results!

I keep going back and forth on this. The kit I like the best is from Vorshlag because it's hidden.
http://www.vorshlag.com/product_info...roducts_id=706

But these things aren't chap either way. ~$300 for the backing plates and front mounts + whatever for the ducts. Plus I only get ~2 track weekends a year, so 99% of the time it would be useless on my car.

But the 1% of the time (4 days out of 360) it would make a big difference.

Maybe I'll start with removin g my dust shields and putting the GT500 dust shields. That's under $50 and I don't have to put holes in my lower grille.

Yeah would be hard to justify for just 2 outings a year. I'm up to 9 days as of tomorrow and have another 2 or 3. Well worth it for me

I also rigged up a rear brake cooling setup for the sticking caliper this evening. Will make a separate posting on that if it seems to help tomorrow.

Cooling for REAR brakes?? The engineer in me is intrigued... Are you collecting air under the car??

And before I even hear the answer kudos for originality

This had bounced around in my melon as well. I'm really interested in your future post about it. Are you doing to do an upgrade for the rear like the Steeda one or just leave it stock and keep it cool?

Yes, collecting air from under the car. Tried the beta version out today... it definitely worked until the hose popped off the collector piece... version 1.2 will be worked this weekend. Over the winter, I'll be having some good brackets fabricated and will get high temp ducting and probably some NACA scoops

Here's what I whipped up as a trial version:

It's a great idea, though. I was considering trying to doing something with my "ported" side skirts, but this is probably easier and more effective. Plus Saleen's quality blows so I don't want to be tied to them.

I'm looking to work up version 1.1 this weekend. I need to work on something that can either quickly be blocked off or partially removed for street driving. Shouldn't be too bad.

As I get something a little better, I'll keep posting.

wonder if you can use the boss exhaust mount points to get the inlet cleanly mounted. not that the pre-lim design isn't already extremely AWESOME!

Well done sir. Again, kudos for originality.

One other quick note. Looking at the last picture where you see the wheel speed sensor tone ring, and the sensor next to it on the right. Looks like there is quite a bit of grime collecting on the sensor, and the cooling tube appears to be aimed at it as well. I think care is needed there, the sensor is magnetic, and if oil, dirt and particularly metallic debris collects on the sensing element you could run into trouble.
Just FYI, sensor failure can take ABS out, and when at the track that's not something you need at all.

Good input - cleaned it last night when I reworked the setup. Have a much better bracket now and 1.5" stainless steel ducting going to a scoop in a new location. Will grab pics when i get back later this week.
