Need Some Advice

I'll be headed to the track for the 2'nd time.

I need you guy's help.

I'm thinking of putting some slicks to run on this time out

I have 2010 GT 5 speed with 3.55 gears, cams, tune, headers, full BMR suspension lowered on Eibach sport lines.

the tires in question or M/T ET streets 28/10/15.

Will I run into any problems running this size tire or do I need to run a smaller tire.

Any help will be greatly appreciated..

You already have those tires?

If so then run them and see how it goes.

I think as long as they will physically fit on the car without rubbing, you'll be fine.

But, I'm not a professional.

I'm looking at buying them..

I've never ran slick on the car..

Just worried if they'll tear anything up due to the drop. Hopefuly someone can point me in the rite direction.

How much drop?

And what wheels?

If you get the right wheels they should be fine.

Are you planning to hit the strip a lot, or just occasionally?

Not sure about the gearing on the '10 5 speed, may be better off with a 26" tire so you aren't shifting right at the line.

Might want to ask the 05-09 guys since they have the same tranny.

The Wheels are Pro stars is think is what there called the back is 15x10 wheel.

I just hit the strip occasionally.

I'm running the sportline kit i think the rear drop is like a lil bit over 2 inches lik 2.1 or so.

The car hass 3.55 gears in it.

As I suggested above, really need to ask someone who races a 05-10 4.6 manual car to see if a 26" tall tire would get you through the traps better than the 28" tire.

Also, I would go with a 15x8 wheel with that 10x28 MT if you go that way, plus it keeps you from needing to relocate the sway bar.
