Metco LCA's

Just ordered these from my local speed shop
http://www.metcomotorsports.com/prod...at=102:banana:

Product ID: MCA2005
Lower Control Arm Set

they are from Metco motorsports and are a billet lca with grease fittings and poly bushings.

Talked to the company rep Rick and he is customizing the bushings for DD/Corner carving duty.
If you have never seen these they are quite beefy and made in the USA.

Anyone tried these on their cars? Interested in hearing opinions and whether you experienced and unusual NVH?

I am looking forward to the install and if they do as well as hoped I will also be upgrading to their UCA and bracket.

Metco is a great company, not many complaints regarding their LCA's.

Update on Metco LCA's
I had them installed today and of course its raining today so no hard driving test yet, but I do have to say NO Wheel Hop on wet roads. I drove my usual curvey road and even though conditions were slimy, traction was very good and they have improved throttle steer.
Will post pictures later.

thanks to Chris at lightninrods.com, my installer !!!

I have not noticed any NVH, I drove it for several miles with no radio, etc. and could not tell any NVH difference from stock.
I will update when I am able to to do some hard launches and more aggressive cornering, the weather held me back.

let me get this straight. If ordered directly from Metco, they will put in differant bushings in from wht they usually ship out to their vendors? Or are the bushings something that can be replaced by anyone, w/ differant densities being readily available?

Yes if you call metco and advise them what type of driving you plan, as I did, they will use different bushings according to your needs.

You will have to ask Metco about different densities and availability.

Thanks. Those LCA's are expensive, right?

Yes retail is up there but, you can find a dealer and maybe get a break like I did.
Maybe Jason at Hypermotive who posted earlier, can help with pricing.
If not pm me and I will get you info on my guy.

Thats cool that you can still get a custom order through a dealer. I don't think Jason deals w/ Metco.(yet)

Took a road trip yesterday to the Cherahala Skyway near Tellico Plains, TN which is a 42 mile 2 lane full of hills and curves.
As I expected and hoped, the Metco Lca's made a definite difference in handling, so much so that I now notice that the front suspension is a bit spongy, but the rear stayed planted and really showed up in throttle steering.
I have yet to push the full limits of handling on this car and I am very happy with the upgrade.
