Post Low profile rear bump stop ?

Hi,

This afternoon, i have removed the rear bump stops on my GT 2011. (1.5" lowered with Fod racing springs and Koni Sport dampers)
The result was great. Bumpy roads were a pleasure with no harshness

After this test, i decided to cut a little more the rear bump stop :

Size: 344.0 KB

The foam heigh is 1.5cm (0.6"). With its black support, its around 3.5cm (1.4")

If the result was better than my previous cut version (only the top of the mushroom was cut), the no bump stops version plays in the higher league. Without bump stops, i feel the suspension working the good way all the time on all kind of roads.

I have seen videos of lowered Mustang with no bump stops (or so small i haven't see them). I don't think its a good idea for a daily usage.

But are some low profile rear bump stops existing ?

S.

Roush and KW use actual lower bumpstops in their packages. Check with them if they'll sell it separately.

The FRPP jounce bump stops are a different density. The bump stops are considered part of your suspension from an engineering standpoint and are required. They provide damping just like your strut/spring setup upon bottoming out your suspension. The FRPP are softer b/c of the lowered vehicle. If you want shorter ones that have progressive damping as well then buy these. Click the link for maximum motorsports bump stops.
