LCA's with relocation bracket's

I got my LCA's with relocation bracket's installed today and let me say that relocation bracket's do "nothing" for wheel hop. the car hops just as bad as it did with out them. not happy. so It looks like the top mount will need to be replaced. So having the lower LCA and UCA is the way to go, do not bother with relocation bracket's. BMR told me that it would remove most of it, they did not remove any wheel hop.

Just an FYI

It's my understanding that relocation brackets aren't really needed unless you have lowered the suspension.

I was wondering about this, since I'm very close to ordering parts. I've heard the UCA is not the easiest thing to change....

Thanks for providing the info, but I feel bad for you after buying the parts and taking up your time to install .....

I have relos on my car but it is lowered. I have read somewhere that relos can be good for stock ride height for drag racing. I used them to correct the angle on my lcas after lowering.

Thank you, and yes I am bummed out, I really want the hop to be gone, this is by far one of the worst cars ever I have owned for wheel hop.

Thanks

That does suck, maybe the BMR assumed you were lowered. Then again, and I don't mean to be rude, read up on what each thing does just so you can catch if a company is trying to weasel money out of you.

Relocation brackets are for correcting the angle of your LCAs. There typically for lowered cars, but can be used on stock height cars. You can achieve better traction. If you want to get rid of wheel hop you need a upper control arm and mount(adjustable preferred). Here's a couple of videos showing wheel hop and corrected wheel hop.

FWIW. I put J&M LCA's only on my 12. Took away wheel hop all together. Best money i have spent on the car.

I can give you an answer based on my research and purchases. I don't think you NEED relo brackets if you lower. Many reputable experts have stated that. There is a slight loss in the power you can get to the ground when your lca angle is off. I am not going to do any power adders to my car, so I decided to do the lcas and relos to try to get all I can to the ground. I don't think I would have been unhappy without the relos. I hope that helps.
