Koni STR.T's or FRPP shocks/struts

I'm getting rid of my stock suspension setup with the Roush Extreme springs next month(b-day present to myself) and I'm stuck between these 2, the Koni STR.T's and the FRPP's.

http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...199&ModelID=35

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...it-Gt-V6-Coupe.

I'm not interested in the Koni Yellow's/Sports as I have a specific budget I'm sticking with and I have no need for adjustable's.

I will be replacing the Roush springs with the FRPP K springs for a more defined lowered, yet raked look.

My goal is to have slightly better handling, appearance, and be able to cut some good 60's at the 1/4 every now and then.

So my question is: What do you like about your STR.T's/FRPP's? Any pro's or con's? Is one better than the other? Is either one smoother than the other? Also, please include what spring you're using as well. From my personal research, they both seem to meet my needs and offer similar performance.

It doesn't state if the ford struts are life time warranty or not...are they?

Without question get the Koni STR.t struts.
I have a set of GT500 Strut mounts for sale BRAND NEW if you are interested!
And Eibach Camber bolts. ($105 shipped for both)

Good catch. I didn't even notice that. I just checked a few sites and none of them mention anything about warranty on the FRPP. I have the catalog at work, I'll check it tomorrow and see if it mentions anything in there.

If you still have them next month I'll take them. What happened to your plans?

Just trying to weigh out my options... You know how I am. At least it's only 2 to choose from, I was a mess when I was trying to decide on wheels last summer.

Koni - just my 2 cents. You may want to check out the Steeda's as well. They are around the same price.

I just talked to TJ from Steeda the other day about them. He's offering a pretty good deal for me so now those are up for consideration too.

Wondering this as well. Are the steedas comparable or even better the the STR.Ts? I want to lower in a month or so but I've heard word that koni may be coming out with a 2011-12 specific shock and strut?!!??

You just have to get the gt500 strut mounts for the koni's to fit. A good upgrade anyways.

Considering that a few people have had the stock mounts fall apart upon removal, I would just get the 05-10 struts and a set of gt500 mounts and be done with it instead of waiting for Koni.

the gt500 mounts are over rated and over priced. just get the reg gt strut mounts and save a few bucks and be done with it. This comes from a pro in the suspension world and one of our sponsor vendors here.

Steeda's Pro-Action shocks and struts, made by Tokico, feature a lifetime warranty. Steeda also has some that will fit the 2011+ Mustangs. I'm considering these for my 2011 in addition to their HD strut mounts for the '11+ Mustangs.

If you're referring to Sam he reccommends them on his site with the koni's.

when I bought the Koni's from him we talked on the phone for a while about these. He recommended to just go with the gt mounts.

John,

So is Sam Strano now. Ordering my yellows tomorrow.

My new job requires a farther commute on the highway, and the highway bounce in the stock brembos suspension is killing me.

Koni sports, Ford Racing P springs, and Ford Racing GT500 strut mounts should solve that, and give me a killer set up for autocross and road racing this year.

Sweet!! I'll get them from Sam too. I can't order till next week though. Are you going to install yourself? I have spring compressors if you need them.

Quick Reply: Koni STR.T's or FRPP shocks/struts
