Koni/Steeda/BOSS suspension questions
Been doing a little research on some suspension upgrades. This seems to be the combo of choice, So for now i'm looking at Koni yellow shocks with the Steeda springs. and some brand of adjustable PHB. need anything else? what about beefier sways? i'm just basically trying to elimate all/most of the body roll on my 11 GT (non track pack)
Is Strano the best/cheapest place to pick these up at? How would a GT handle with this setup compared to say a stock BOSS 302? say you had access to BOSS 302 shocks/springs, think that would be a better bang for your buck?
Anyone driven both a Koni/Steeda GT and a BOSS? thoughts? Opinions?

I much prefer the suspension on my 2013 "Koni/Steeda GT" over the original suspension on my old 2012 Boss. Besides being lowered, it feels much more like it's "on rails" so to speak and very little dive when hitting the brakes. I also have a Steeda 1 1/4" tubular adjustable rear swaybar on my GT, which I have adjusted on its lightest adjustment. Below are some photos showing my setup on the rear.

I have a gt with steeda sports and Koni sports and my best friend has a boss. He has more clearance and the ride set to 2 is very BMW like. It's comfortable and still feels firm. My sports set to full soft seem a little harsher. I have to be more careful over bumps. In hind sight, I love the look if the sports. It has a low look and very good comfort. It seems there are quite a few boss owners that "trade up" to Koni. It's a matter of preference. If you live in so cal, you can take a twirl in my car and see what you think.

The Koni's seem to be a little bit better than the OEM Boss shocks/struts - have not heard anything bad. When I can afford to, I will most likely upgrade to the Koni yellow's as well

We did this to a 2011 and had some great success with this package:
We have both a Boss and a 2013 that we have tested ... we currently have our Pro Action Shocks and Struts on the 2013 with the Sport Springs.
Send me an email if you would like to talk off line about packages. You can reach me at tim@steeda.com.
Best Regards,
TJ

I have a '12 GT 5.0 with the brembo brakes. The stock suspension feels very loose and sloppy. I'm using these shocks and struts with race springs and camber plates. My car is lowered 1.5" but it has excellent handling and ride quality with these. Stiffer than stock but still very comfortable at highway speeds. Great for daily driver but also handles like a sports car should. Very pleased!

I'd still rather have the Boss 302 itself as a package/overall car. I have a 2011 3.31 GT standard brakes with: Koni Yellows/GT500 mounts/Eibach Pro Kit/BMR Panhard. An improvement but there's more to the Boss than just dampers and springs...

More of a complete package but yes, like the Shelby's achilles heel it is not the best on crappy NYC roads. That being said if *only* the 2012's had the 400A trim; sync/bluetooth, auto headlamps, etc - plus the ability to order the HIDs I would have sprung for one. Guess it would have made it too much of a poor man's M3, huh

Handling would be better on a GT with Koni's and better springs any day. Though the Boss has a built motor and less sound deadening so a little lighter, that's all.

That's what I was thinking Brandon. $1300 on Koni Sports with Steeda Sport springs and Steeda HD upper mounts and my GT TP should handle better than a stock Boss. Sure would be nice to have those forged internals though!
