Caution Russell Stailess Steel brake hose users
Hey everyone, I have been using Susslle SS brake hoses for the past 3 seasons. I haven't had a single bad thing to day about these, until last month.
Why do we buy SS lines? So that we don't have to worry about brake hose blow up issues, or busts. Well, guess what happened to me at Mid Ohio race course a few weeks ago? My SS line burst, leading to a single circuit brake failure.
I was lucky I wasn't carrying any major speed when it happened. If this happened during turn 4 135mph downhill brake zone I would have been ****ed. No doubt about it. Car would have been totaled, and I would be in teh Hospital at best.
Anyway, if you're using Russell lines ... have a good look and make sure you don't have any early signs of failure. Mine straight up burst. Brake fluid squirting through the wheel. Not good.
