Can I safetly paint my Brembo front rotor hats?

Hi, there. Has any one successfully painted Brembo front rotor hats? The center section. I have the 14" rotors in front. I want to paint the hats matt-black. But I don't know if the paint can withstand the heat. Has any one done this? If so, which brand of paint will stay on there well?

I painted my stock brakes hats and calipers and have had no issues. I used a good heat resistant paint. I suspect if I really nuked the brakes a lot, as in tracking the car, the paint would probably suffer but then again, I don't think any paint is really going to hold up real well under those conditions.

For matte black, you could probably use what is marketed as BBQ paint. It's designed for high heat

Really High Heat Paint works Great. Prepping is the key.

Thanks, guys. I read on a Corvette forum that prep work with brake cleaner, paint thinner, and acetone is good. And Duplicolor brand heat paint is good.

I used VHT black caliper paint on the rotors and calipers. Taped off the faces, shot the hats and the edges of the rotors.

Still lookin' good after a year or so now. In case that helps.

Just did the instructions on the calipers, btw, just shot it with VHT brake cleaner, little plastic brush to scrub it a little, shot it again, wiped it down with them blue shop rags, then shot the caliper. Turned out great, I think!
