Please post any information on rear wheel sizes and Slick information. I'm looking for some street strip or all strip slicks for Drag Racing.

Really no one has or uses racing slicks?? Really

 

15 x 10" with 28 x 11.50-15LT.
They won't fit on my 14 because of the brakes, which would require at least a 17".

The 28 x 11.5 is the rear?

That is a drag set up, 15 x 10 rear, 17 x 5 front, saves about 100 lbs.

Do you have an auto or manual and what gears are you running? All these factor into whether you run a drag radial or a full slick and how tall of tire you need to run.

 

I have a 2014 Track pack GT. 373 gears. I am having a hard time launching at the track. I have to keep the traction control on. Still have great times but I know there is a lot more in this car.

 

I've been running 275/35/18's for all my road course events. I've got pictures out there, not sure where though. I never drag race the car and never launch it though. Only road course stuff

 

I have the Track key and this year I want to Drag as well as do some road courses.

What is the specs of the rear tires? Hardness and size to order?

How does the car launch? What tire pressure are you running.

15s will clear in the rear and if you go 15x10s all you need are relocation brackets.

Jazz,

Best place to start road racing is doing HPDE events. You can join a local BMW, Audi or Chin motorsports, or any car club that offers instructors. First few times it is very important to have an instructor with you to get the basics down good, and to teach you how to get off track safely when you mess up.

After you get some seat time with an instructor and you're able to self diagnose (I was still dialing in steering after the apex, which means I didn't rotate the car enough by the apex, which means I tuned in too early, or I pinched the corner too hard because I didn't use all the room at the exit ect.) you can start driving solo and practicing.

The rear sway bar mount

 

After looking around and talking to some people here in Florida they suggested I start at PBOC http://pbocflorida.com/.

Have you heard of them? Sounds like what you are suggested. They race at Sebring.

 

Is there another Sway bar you can buy that this wont happen?

I am wanting to get either the Ford Racing adjustable or the Eibach?

 

You can avoid it by running 15x8s or buy the sway bar relocation kit that costs around $40. It's easy to install and YouTube has a few videos on it.
