05-10 suspension on 11-14

hey guys I know this might be a stupid question but I know that in order to use struts off the 05-10 models I will need the gt500 strut mounts; my question though is am I limited to certain type of struts or springs or will any of the ones from the previous models work? How about the rear suspension will anything have to be done to retrofit them or were there no changes made?

Easy question first...Nothing will have to be done to the rear.

The front - tell us what your thinking of going with. You will need gt500 strut mounts or CC plates depending on what you're going to use your car for.

for now I was thinking koni strt struts or maybe even tokico d specs. As for springs not sure just something that will close the wheel gap. I kinda want something good for occasional autox but comfortable enough for daily driving, and something affordable lol

You'll need some gt500 strut mounts to mount an older spring/shock up front. That's it...the rear is just a remove/replace on these cars.

I have Koni Str.t's with BMR springs on my car and the ride is great for my daily driver and minimal track use. If I were racing it more than once or twice a year i'd go with some CC plates and Koni yellows, but thats just my opinion

I have heard good things about bmr springs and I love my Koni sports. I went with plates just to be sure in regards to alignment. I think you are spot on in your recommendation.

Can't speak on the SR springs...try searching the forum for info.

If your gonna track the car and try to keep up with a Boss i'd go with koni yellow's or maybe some coilover's as well as some better tires, lower & upper control arms and add a little more power to the GT...searching the forum is your best bet as there are many that have great setups that either handle better or really close to a boss

ok well looks like I might order the gt500 mounts with koni strt struts and bmr springs. So all this will fit my 2013 gt as well as no alignment issues? I'm sorry guys I would use the search button but for some reason on my phone it won't work.

You could use camber bolts to correct it. About 30 bucks.

The STR.T is a great strut and shock combo for the money. Don't forget about the sale that is going on right now, we are offering the STR.T for 330 shipped! What type of drop are you looking to get out the springs? What is your overall goal? The BMR springs are great but if you plan on tracking your car (road course) I would look into Steeda springs. Let us know if we can help you out!
