You don't need a spring compressor. Watch LMR's video. I rented the compressor just in case, but did not need it. You just need another pair of hands to hold the LCA in place while you bolt the top of the strut/strut mount in, so you can get the lower bolts in. Then you're good to go.

Im swapping the struts and have to compress the spring to loosen the nut on the strut to remove the strut mount. Never heard of doing that without a spring compressor

Stock springs or lowered? If stock springs, you'll need it, if you're lowered, loosen the lower bolts, but leave them in. Then undo all the upper bolts, everything will just fall out. It's actually the CJPP video I think. I'll try and find it for you.

Found it. I used this video, but I was also installing Steeda Boss 302 springs, so I didn't need to compress the stock springs to put everything back together...

Nice! Yeah I had this compressor with me, but I really didn't want to mess with them. If they fail or you don't use them right, they can be downright deadly. So glad I didn't need them!

I ended up using the Spring compressor at the hobby shop had to go help a friend there and already had them out of the car. Plus since this was the second time taking these apart didn't want to take a chance of the strut mount falling apart. So the car is back to gather but still on jack stands.
I have a steeda radiator support coming in the mail so that's my next mod that I will have to wait to enjoy until spring!

Well just picked up the car from storage. Its was to long missed driving it a lot. Did a few blast down the Autobahn at 160 mph. Got it home she needs a bath and some wax, but went ahead and installed the new black 5.0 on the faux gas cap. I had this for every and never put it on.
Also have steeda radiator support and a shaftmaster driveshaft to put on, and a stubby antenna on the way.
I got a Bama V2 tune for free so gonna see how that compares to the steeda tune but gotta swap the cats back on the car for inspection then I can run the Bama tune. Gonna go ahead and leave the cats on seeing I should be heading to TX later this year.

It 10LBS lighter. I was going to leave the z brace off but decided to put in back on for now. When I get back to the state probably do more drag racing. So the front sway bar and z brace will come off and add a drag wheel set-up.

Wow! Nice. I don't drag race. It's too hard on the car for me and doesn't last long enough. This is on the list as well as the K member.

I put the cats back on the car and installed a shaftmaster driveshaft. Haven't even drove the car yet. Changed the tune gonna run around on this tune for a few days then I got a Bama V2 to try our.
Last mods to the car for awhile. The car should be heading to San Antonio in a few weeks so no more AutoBahn, but San Antonio has a drag strip!

Just drove the car around feels great but now thanks to some stupid **** here in Germany and some young airman I get to put my stock mufflers back on the max db is 95 and he got my car at 98. Which I don't understand all my exhaust is stock Besides gt500 mufflers. Just so I can pass inspection then ship the car back to the states. I'm so ready to leave Germany!
