DIP w/Black Decal Thoughts??
Just got my DIB stang and was thinking on adding black American Muscle rocker panel stripes and hood accents. Looking for a subtle look. Flat black or matte black? Anyone go with this color combo?

I like the idea! I think some Flat black would look super clean and subtle.
Definitely post up some pictures if you decide to go that route. I'd love to see it!

Install them yourself. That's what I did. I got mine from AM as well. It was pretty easy for the most part. I went with silver and the narrow stripes like the Shelby PP cars.

here are a few things to consider. Flat is nice but matte might look good since you have the body trim on that that also is kind of a matte finish.
Flat will accent a little better than Matte.
So do you want it subtle and blend or do you want it to stand out more.
Subtle and blend go with matte
stand out a little go with flat.
Waxing: you have to mask off flat where Matte is more forgiving with wax.
I would still recommend masking both.

Flat black looks sweet, I will get some pictures posted tomorrow. Pretty much failed the rocker stripes but it might have been a little too cold to install them. The hood accents look awesome and turned out well.
Edit - 4/19
Contacted AM about the rocker stripe and they think it was an adhesion problem with the Vinyl and are re-sending them. Great customer service, thanks AM!
