Same thing happened to me in the exact same place. Anxious to see what the results are

Well it's not 100%. More like 90%. The ding actually mico cracked the paint under the clear. From 5 feet it looks great but I know it's their. If the paint cracks I'll file a claim and have the entire door repainted.

Man that looks great. Of course I think all of us are the same and when we know its there it bothers us. But at least until you want to spend the money this fix will surely do. He did great work, you ended up paying him I presume?

Yea, it will still bother me when I was the car and look at it but it is much better. Without getting right on it it's hard to see. If you take a light and look close you can see the small spider crack about 2mm wide. Not bad for $75 and yes I paid. He worked hard and earned it. Plus he told me that if I end up wanting to paint the door he will apply what I already paid to the cost.

something like this happened on my Altima (it was new, and I always take good care of my cars), right on the seam. Mine was actually worse, you could see a good size of bare metal (at first it looked like someone shot it with a pellet gun or something).

In the end I suspected it was someone in a truck flung open the door and slammed it into my car.

repairs were 1500 - 250 deductible.

glad I did it as it was my trade to get my Mustang.

Wow,...good deal.
I hope it all works out for you. Sounds like a great shop to work with.
