Nice, I had to get rid of my stickers because of it being too easy to id a black mustard with specific stickers on it..

 

I've heard of spicy brown mustard.... but never heard of black mustard!!

Bob White is a good dude. I sent him pics and he didn't like it because the angle of the fade was a little off compared to the 302. I pulled the fade off and he said he is sending me a whole new stripe. Thats service!

I kind of like it with just the mustang.....

 

So, I am just not happy with the look. Any opinions on how you would decal this if it was yours? Opinions please

 

I am going to level with you..I am not a fan of that look either...I have a Race Red 13 on order, so I have thought about it as well. I personally would lose the "floating" mustang on bottom. I like it as part of a stripe or fader stripe (new GT/CS) but not just there...I like the upper fade stripe...but not with the 5.0 right underneath it...seems a bit busy. I personally would go with blacked out 5.0 emblems, and a lower stripe that fades...

Please know that this is just my opinion, and mean no harm by it. You have a great looking car!

 

Great thoughts. I pulled the lower decals off because the fade angle was off, it didn't match the 302 fade. I ordered the black 5.0.

What are your thoughts on the font for the lower stripe

 

that's going to be more difficult....


If you had the blacked out 5.0 badges, maybe the "302" at an angled font in the lower stripe would look good. It could fade, or be solid all the way across. I always took a good high-res pic of my car and went to a good photo editing program and tried a million things. Again, your car looks great, but the placement of the 302 on the upper fender reminds me of the dodge decals.

 

I did the 302 as a Different takeoff of the SMS mustangs. So maybe do a fade that matches with Mustang in a classic font. This is so difficult...lol

 

I took off all of the decals and put a new more classic looking fade on the doors. I also put some black 5.0 badges on, pics tomorrow. I think I finally have it right.

Well.....here is the funny part ......I spent 7 hours yesterday taking all of the decals off, applying new sport side stripes (like the factory 2012), black taillight trim bezels, and an MMD blackout panel. New Foose wheels go on tomorrow. She LOOKS COMPLETELY different. I will update pics tomorrow night! I have to thank everyone here because I searched 100s of pics to find what I like.
