Looks great. However, I appreciate the history tied to the GT moniker. One of the great stories in auto history. In the early 60's, Ford was in the process of buying Ferrari (believe it or not) when suddenly Enzo Ferrari backed our. Henry Ford II was so mad he instructed his engineers to bulld a car that could beat Ferrari at The 24 Hours LeMans. Ferrari typicaly won every year. The Ford GT40 was that car and it beat both Ferrari and Porsche for three straight years from 1967 - 1969. The letters GT, short for Grand Touring, meant the car had to be able to sustain high speeds for a long time, specifically 24 hours. It was an amazing feat, the equivalent to landing man on the moon in the automobile world. Ferrari was humiliated and they worked behind the scenes to get the rules changed that restricted the engine size in future LeMans cars, and thus the GT40 was finished after 1969. But it remains one of the great stories in sports history.

Thanks for the details and pics ... I SO wish that Ford didn't do us the favor of putting all those holes in the trunk lid behind the panel, and that hump in the middle ...
I was hoping that the panel was flat and painted behind the black panel ... so removing it would leave a body-color trunk panel ...
